Here are a couple of interesting sites.
The Technology, Entertainment, and Design conference is held every year. Some of the conference talks are now being posted online at: http://www.ted.com/tedtalks/
While all the talks are very interesting, several for economics students I would recommend are:
- Lawrence Lessig on creativity and the law
- Steve Levitt on drug dealers
- Hans Rosling on global data about health, income, and poverty
- Hans Rosling is even better the second time around in 2007
Google Talks is also an interesting source of presentations by authors and other notable individuals.
While many of the talks are very interesting, here is some I would recommend:
- Garr Reynolds on presentation styles. You can find his Presentation Zen site here.
Thanks for visiting!
